I'm just curled up in bed after about 3 hours of applying a thick cream to my face every 15-20 minutes (as it is absorbed). It's nice to finally feel my face move again.
2 or 3 days ago, I woke up and my entire face was covered in dry skin. Every inch. I was horrified (and uncomfortable)- I slathered on moisturizer, and showered, gently rubbing what dead skin I could away with a clean washcloth.
My face felt human again for about... 5 seconds.
I kept moisturizing, had the humidifier on all the time, drank plenty of water...
And to very little avail.
After another ineffective shower this on Sunday, I sat down and methodically began to rub this rich cream all over my face...
It was sucked right in. So I did it again. And again..
And again...
Now I actually feel somewhat like my skin might withhold some moisture through the night (well, for the couple hours I'll be sleeping, anyway).
